Deep knowing is magic Materialism's tragic There are wizards inside us But they're our ideals Deep knowing is magic Materialism's tragic Idealism's no naive dream But a higher kind of real 🙏✨  from There are Wizards Inside Us by Kristen and Ephraim
Normal's not the same as moral No one controls you  Go by what's right and wrong Not by what the herd tells you to do A herd's a group of animals You're a human being What matters is being, how things really are Not things' seeming   by Ephraim and Kristen
Learning's a thing It makes the mind sing Subtle pleasure it brings Unlike the body it fles on gentle wings Learning's a thing A thing hard to see You can't buy sell or eat it  But it brings us a different kind of glee Learning's a thing Some say it's impractical  But it's an ideal thing Not one that is tactical  Learning's a thing  A thing of the mind A mind has no guns or fists  But helps us peace find✌️  Learning's a Thing 📚🙏  by Kristen and Ephraim
We have nothing to hate but hate itself Only love can drive out hate Hate wants to be defeated  By love, our truer fate  Hate, be not proud  Your loud madness shout down Love waits just below and you can only kill  Hate, kill yourself and let love the space fill Hate, you are nothing A mere absence of love One humanity can't become two and hate itself Through a human sky flies not a hawk, just a dove  No hater flies among us The shared heart knows no below, but only an above Hate, Be Not Proud  from Fighting Fascist Capitalism and Its Spirit of Hate  by Kristen and Ephraim With apologies to FDR, MLK and John Donne
The world's not separate The other is no culprit The perfect eye of unity In a nutshell wholly clumps it The other is an instant  From the soul you claim is yours  Unity's a constant That knows no ceilings or floo The world's not separate The other is no culprit Nothing, no one, need be excluded  Or gives cause to say just dump it from The Perfect Eye of Unity...and What It Leaves Out  by Ephraim and Kristen
Through the sky a wise hawk soars  But closer to earth there flies a kind dove The sky's a high place  But down on earth we need love Wisdom's a proud thing It supplies all the why's a cold mind can think of But only love can ease heartbreak  Ot begin to make earth a heaven above Heaven's where the heart is  Though the mind's leagues above  The earth's a heart place  Only here will we find what mere mortals dream of Peace on earth's an ideal phrase  How loudly it rings from the the mind far above! But there'll never be peace here Until there is love  Until There Is Love ⏰❤️  by Kristen and Ephraim
Hope's a thread from which we weave a better world If it seems to be a thin thread it's because it's inward, not already unfurled Our ideals are threads from which a more human world is stitched  Hope and love and truth and peace are all part of the future's better mix  Elements in a garment with which history's long sadness is fixed 😿😿 by Ephraim and Kristen
It cannot be me against others If I'm among sisters and brothers I'm not a lone ranger or some angry stranger All people are one We all share one sun I won't let shared humanity simply come undone  from Fighting Capitalist Hyper-individualism by Kristen and Ephraim
Space is a place without a face but full of grace Space means there's room, we need not zoom Time and space are states of mind The mountain that seems to take space's place is in your head The trumpet blast that blows your ears away is just a lie Sounds don't make us deaf nor sights make us blind There's a free world that I call Inside A heaven where Awareness dwells  We're not slaves to an Outside world  That binds us in a hell from A Free World That I Call Inside  by Ephraim
Nobody's part of us. "Part of us" is a matter of identity, not relationship. Our "parts" are ours. But there is such a thing as shared responsibility. If we're vulnerable, even feeling broken, others should help regardless of any "standard" expectation of perfect independence. Capitalism trains us to conflate interdependence with abject dependence. We owe each other something, especially when we do not feel intact. from Notes on Caring by Frederick Leeds
Soul's whole partless and unanalyzable Words can't know it but the heart can show it Truth's a thing apart from forms of truth and uncategorizable Logic can't grow it but intuition already knows Before a single thought appears  Intuition already knows It knows not just that there is truth   But that earth's full of tears It has a heart not just a mind And does not just know but cares  It sees we must walk on earth with plain feet Not fly with wings through abstract skies Plain Feet  🐾  by Frederick Leeds
There's a thing called a person That isn't a version Of something non-living Or possessed by a group A person's a human A thinker and feeler Not a cold thing of steel or Machine-like conformer  There's a thing called a person A mind and a heart  A whole individual A soul beyond division into robotic parts  A Thing Called a Person  by Ephraim and Kristen
It's not queer to share Or weird to care There's no rule against Simply holding things dear Contempt for feeling  Is a thing insincere Practiced by people Who don't know why we're here It's normal to share And common to care Respect for feeling Is simply what's fair A thing practiced by people Moved by wisdom and not hate and fear It's Not Queer to Share by Kristen and Ephraim
Sometimes the sky is merely wise Feet to the earth themselves must bind Wings are very high things But they can't fly through highest heaven until they teach feet to be kind
Variation's no equation Creation includes many nations We aren't all alike  To uniqueness here's an invitation You're welcome to be you Whatever your tribe or crew There's no one like you anywhere You are among the few Everyone's unique Of specialness I speak Comparison's an illusion  Into uniqueness take a peek Consider your Aunt Daisy They say she's kinda crazy She helped discover uranium  How can you say she's lazy? And there's your Cousin Sam I tell you he's the man  He saved a man from drowning And asked for no reward but simply said "You're welcome ma'am" Variation's no equation Creation includes many nations We are all unique  Of variation this is my proclamation Variation's No Equation  by Kristen and Ephraim C. Levine
when the one explodes the many unfold  the proud sun's full of light but when the pain of earth's things it beholds it bursts apart with grief and brings warmth not coldness bright it gives each thing just what it needs to the lonely land the sea's green arms so welcoming and wide to despairing people hope to bending trees a brand new height  to those trapped in lies the truth to birds that can't fiy wings now right its single brilliance falls to pieces on the ground  and turns into the many kinds of light for which all things have cried it knows one light does not fit all and each thing must be seen with different eyes  👀🤔  when the one explodes  by kristen and ephraim c. levine
The  heart's a sky for those who feel Our feelings our thoughts seal Our minds know each and every why  But our hearts make our thoughts real  The heart's a sky for those who feel The mind's a sky Somewhere Up There  But feelings know just where they are  They fly through a sky that's near  Heaven's where the heart is  Wherever people care The mind's a hard-to-find place  But the heart's a thing we share  from Heaven's Where the Heart Is 😇❤️  from Poems in Progress 📚🤔  by Ephraim C. Levine and Kristen
schemes are cold mind things dreams warm heart things schemes are earth things  dreams sky things schemers calculate dreamers plan schemers use force dreamers with others' help do what they can  schemers are cynical  dreamers have ideals schemers doubt dreamers have a faith that is real  dreams are warm heart things 🌞❤️  from ideals are a higher real  by kristen and ephraim c. levine
i can't leave my own vicinity i thought I was just part of a world but I can't escape my own identity from my own premises I can't be hurled i tried to fly all through the sky and strange me-less wings unfurl  but I can't escape my own vicinity because the me I flee's a thing within me curled the me I flee is me you see i'm not them or him or thee the me I run from is the me that's me i can't become a fish or flea or turn into a tree or tooth, towel or cup of tea the me I tried hard not to be, I think that you will see  is the me that I always was and that I'll always be  signed,  all the universe wait a minute..i'm me!
ideals aren't things that win mind things don't win or lose they aren't born and they don't die they're not there for mere use  mind things are wise but fragile things  like thin air acquainted with the sky mind things don't die but may be forced to hide  and conceal every why I like being a mind thing I like to ask just why i think we're skies and not just earths and that mind things can fly but poor earths need skies' wisdom  and mind things must not just fly wings must sometimes become feet and walk on earth, not vaguely rise  ideals are not things that win mind things don't win or lose  but hearts win when other hearts win  wise minds with kindness rule with kindness rule  ❤️👑  by kristen and ephraim c. kevine
nuance takes a seance our common mind can't hold expanse sometimes the sky is green but ordinary eyes can't easily see subtlety or complexity variations just don't seem true but though the normal sky is blue imagination's sky is always green nuance is no fluke  variation's not a thing for kooks reality's a funny rainbow 🤡🌈  that doesn't wear a suit funny rainbow by ephraim c. levine and kristen
strength's just not there the campaign failed  the dragon won the bad guys stole the sun if there are just winners and losers to someone loss must come the cowboy fell off his horse  the injun applied greater force right didn't prevail human frailty left a trail if we don't help each other no hero will appear from Superman forgot how to fly: the myth of hyper-individualism  by kristen and ephraim c. levine  i
Mind goes into things But comes back to itself It gives itself to all that's outward  But holds onto its own wealth Mind goes into things But comes back to itself Love is the thing most needed  But don't put wisdom on a shelf .. Ephraim C. Levine and Krusten
There's a place the world can't reach I call it Inside  It's not a place beside me  But me with no disguise  There's a place the world can't reach I call it Inside  It's not a place that's outside But the place where my soul hides  There's a Place Called Inside 🙏🏡  by Ephraim C. and Kristen
there are only many  the world's full of plenty all things work together apart from any single great cause rain does not strike earth but gently descends  to a waiting earth  that calls down the rain rain sun and seed do not make a tree  rain sun seed and tree are one harmony  the many are already . there before you blink a world by definition includes many things if the world has one soul it's shared by all things  god's left his joyless throne nature's what's holy and holiness sings 😇🎶🎶🎶  by kristen and ephraim e
No cause is needed  And force is worse  Things arise together  And they take their course  Sun seed and rain  Don't make a tree  Sun seed rain and tree Sing in harmony Rain doesn't strike earth Rain gently flows down And feeds living things With one whispered sound  You and I are not enemies  But both part of humanity War's foreign to life Hate is insanity    by Kristen and Ephraim C. Levine  Wars a Furc
Heaven the earth covers  On time's edge angels' wings hover But peace in the sky Can't bring the earth love  Peace is an ideal thing  But love is the real thing The thing we most want  What we're in need of  The earth won't know peace Until there is love  Only love conquers hate Love must walk the earth ❤️ 🐾  Not just peace fly above  Until There Is Love by Kristen and Ephraim
No soul's within me My soul is me I'm not beside me There's only one me I'm not here to guide me I'm not two people or three My actions and thoughts flow together; I'm free  from I'm a Thing Already in Motion Kristen and Ephraim C. Levine
It's a girl! A real pearl! My heart is in a whirl! It's not a boy? Then it's a toy It's not a cause for joy  But it's a girl! A thing with curls! The welcome mat unfurl! A real live female human being A grand addition to the world! The female aspect of our nature Is not a mere feature A woman's no creature  But.part of our shared identity  An inalienable part of humanity It's a Girl!♀️  by Ephraim C. Levine
There's cruelty on earth And hate war and fear But we need not roam earth  A place full of tears  To find what we need It's kindness, I swear  Kindness is a light inside us A bright thing that's near  Cruelty is just blindness Let's open our eyes and start to care Let cruelty do its worst We'll hold onto what's best  We need nothing from earth  Kindness is the soul's breath Kindness won't be found  On an earth that's a stone Like the sun kindness is  A light that is warm Let cruelty roar and bare its fangs We're not beasts but human Kindness is a thing we're born with Every man, every woman Jesus said to answer cruelty  With kindness and it's true You don't have to believe me In your own heart you'll find proof Some call Jesus a king Who will rule all things But in your heart there's a Jesus  Who rules not by force but with love that sings Cruelty is a liar And though its lies sting Let it do its worst Kindness the truth bring...
Love belongs to what's outside It's hate that is a shame To be ashamed of love instead of hate  Is to proudly hide shared pain Love belongs to what's outside It's love that I'll proclaim Hate's a whisper in a back room Love's a shout that's unashamed ❤️🎺  KristenandEphraim
"Here" is no hidden place I'm sure you've seen its face We need not hide Who we are now To change there is no race  "There" is another place To the future we may bow Improvement's good There is a Should  But first be who you are now Kristen and Ephraim C. Levine
Meaning is a mind thing Not a word thing An inside not outside thing Words are simply tools  The sky is a blue thing  But blue's not just a word The blue sky is an eye thing Not something outside you  from There's an INside by Ephraim C. Levine and Kristen
There's Someone I Call Me By Frederick Leeds AKA Ephraim Levine  There's someone I call me I saw me just the other day Turning the corner on a future I seem to have lost my way There's someone I call me It seems like yesterday  A serious, studious boy I was  I tried in every way We don't just live in other eyes There's a me I'm sure I've seen I think that I remember now It's strange but there's a me! A picture from first grade  A boy in a bowtie That boy is me I'm sure I'm he I know he's still with me Ephraim was a student  He tried in every way But they just wanted him to fit in It's a problem still today Join me on a journey through time I think you will agree  There's room for people of all kinds Friends and strangers  Those we know well and those we've never meet Your odd Aunt Lee and quirky Uncle Steve  Even a boy in a bowtie Whose heart is not set free  My name's Frederick Leeds. I'm seventy. How I got this old I...

The truth's a wind that moves all things but can't be seen Truth's invisible as wind  -Ephraim C. Levine and Kristen
The one inside me's me I'm not a we I am myself Not someone else I'm me not you Or Jack or Drew I'm one not two I could say more But there's one self Not two or three or four Soul has no shifting shore ⛵  Ephraim

Try Though you may not succeed Effort counts  Whatever the effect of your deeds  Try Intention counts What we design inside  Is a sacred fount Try Truth counts  All humanity's one Truth's a sun 🙏🌞  Try by Ephraim C. Levine and Kristen
Nothing can dim the light within The light of self and others A light that no shadow can thin The light of all sisters and brothers  Nothing can dim the light within It's not a physical light  But the light of all our souls The soul we share is bright  Nothing can dim the light within  A light that's always been  A brightness not of passing time  But one eternity brings Nothing Can Dim The Light Within ✨  by Kristen and Ephraim C. Levine
Peace is a thing of heaven Love a thing of earth Peace endures forever  Love's subject to death and birth A fleeting, precious thing That teaches shared humanity its worth For hearts that care for others There's no peace unless there's love We're all sisters and brothers Through a high sky flies a dove  Who sends an earth torn up by war and hate A world prone to the cynic's despairing fate A gift of peace, a gift of hope, a gift of truth and love  There's no peace of mind  Without love and peace on earth  Love on earth's what matters most  The heart's our native turf Pride's a sky  Where each high why resides  But love's a humble earth  That has no proud disguise  Love doesn't know all things  But it's kind But It's Kind by Kristen and Ephraim C. Levine
On plain feet we walk the sad sad earth But there's reason to try  Our ideals can lift us from the earth  Up to a sky that's high  But it's not a heaven outside  It's one we've got inside   But there's not just a heaven inside We are things made of earth Pure height's not the greater why First we must recognize our sheerly human worth  On plain feet we walk the sad sad earth  But there's reason to try If nothing lifts us from the earth  Mere human tears let's cry For earth things matter in themselves  Perhaps we need no other sky  Mere Human Tears Let's Cry from Love Is the Earth's Own Why ❤️📚  by Kristen and Ephraim C. Levine "There's something wrong with our poem, Ephraim. It implies it's okay to be without ideals and low-down or something." "I know, Kristen, but if we add 'Let's get back to the sky, rah rah,' it will be a lie. Let's leave it this way for now." ,
Only intuition sees things as a whole  It's the mind of the soul The body's mind can never see  A truth that's made of gold  Only intuition sees things as a whole It plays a central role In showing us what the body's eyes can't see  Their sights are far too low Only intuition sees things as a whole It knows truth's neither young nor old One humanity's a thing it helps us see  And that love's all All's told Love's All ❤️✨  by Ephraim C. Levine and Kristen
