ideals aren't things that win

mind things don't win or lose

they aren't born and they don't die

they're not there for mere use 


mind things are wise but fragile things 

like thin air acquainted with the sky

mind things don't die but may be forced to hide 

and conceal every why


I like being a mind thing

I like to ask just why

i think we're skies and not just earths

and that mind things can fly


but poor earths need skies' wisdom 

and mind things must not just fly

wings must sometimes become feet

and walk on earth, not vaguely rise 


ideals are not things that win

mind things don't win or lose 

but hearts win when other hearts win 

wise minds with kindness rule
