I wish the worid were without friction
But it's really just a fiction
For life itself's a thing of friction
And has to move
I'd rather life stood still
On a high and peaceful hill up in the sky
But here in earth's valley things must carry on
With a will that is their own
While the mind's a timeless sky thing
The heart's a thing of time, a thing of earth
Subject to death, subject to birth
Our bodies are heart things, earth things, time things
And though our souls are mind things, timeless sky things
Bodies have beginnings and ends, and only time can sing
As long as we're on earth
We must sing and move and love
It's not time for the sky
Or the peace of the dove
And though that time will come
And show us Truth beyond what's lost and won
We're here below now, not there above
But even now we can have visions
Of a sky without division
--A place not so very far--
Dreams to help bring peace to a world at war
Even Now ✨✌️
