The world we see's the world there is

There's no other earth or sky

But in the deeper mind we share

The earth has taken kinder birth

And there's a wiser sky


In that new worid

Our ideals reign and cynicism's died

But for the mind that's not so deep

The earth still weeps from cruelty 

And there remain the same old whys


Why is there suffering?

Why do dreams have to die?

Why do we treat each other as we do?

Why must we walk? Why can't we fly?


Our deeper mind is real

There really is an earth that's kind

Really a heaven's why 

There's a Utopia within

I swear it's here inside


But the world we see's the world there is 

There's no other earth or sky

Utopia can't stay a thing within 

We must build it with imperfect hands 

And give it an outside
